VIDEO INSPIRATION: Psychology, Therapy & Astrology (Part 1)

What is the link between psychology and astrology? Tune in to this video for inspiration!

The first time I started to use astrology in my life was back in the 90s – I would visit Jonathan Cainer’s website daily to get an inspirational buzz for my Cancerian sun sign. Little did I know that many years later, I would be diving into my own natal chart, being inspired by many astrologers and doing readings for clients who were open to seeing what their natal chart energy uncovered about areas of their life that we were exploring in sessions. One of the many areas I love to learn about is medical astrology.

Astrology is so much more than the old-school Western misconception of astrology as being a short paragraph at the back of newspapers with a vague description of what our day would be like. Astrology is the deep study of the cycles of nature and the planets + the effects it has on our earth… We are part of nature and these cycles, world HIStory also reflects many things that repeat during these cycles. It is like reading a new language and it can take lifetimes to understand fully. What many people forget is that astrology is (and was) used by royalty, politicians and many in high social ranks to plan ahead – Psychology as we know it today also has some roots in astrology. It is always fascinating to dive into this topic.

A physician without a knowledge of Astrology has no right to call himself a physician.

– Hippocrates

Like many students who studied Psychology and trained to be qualified therapists, I always had a love of learning about complementary holistic health alongside science. I have also met many medical doctors and nurses who have been incorporating their understanding of health into a realm that is still not fully accepted by the medical field today. For this reason, I always try to share food for thought on how these paths work well together.

Some food for thought… Enjoy!
