Vegetarian Madrid: Viva La Vida! Restaurant

I’m happy to say Madrid is a childhood home spot for me… my mother’s home town and where my mother’s family live. A place I return to when I need to just let go and unwind.

One place I do like to visit every time I go back is… Viva La Vida! in La Latina… This restaurant is only a few minutes walk from the famous Sunday El Rastro Market too – the perfect spot after spending hours roaming around the market and in need of some yummy veggie delights to recharge!

It seems to be getting relatively good reviews so far… I admit, the only thing that would hold me back on some days is the huge crowd that flock here, especially on the weekends – but this is just because I like a quiet relaxing background when eating! This spot is obviously a favourite for many local Spaniards and tourists alike 🙂

Owner of Viva La Vida!

It has a very beautifully vibrant interior – I met the owner a few years ago while having a smoothie there and she told me that the decor was inspired from her home land of Brazil ♥

And if you prefer dining outdoors, there are seats outside on the square… wonderful in the sunshine for people watching and letting time float by!

With a juice bar and delicious buffet style food, this place is one of my favourite veggie treats in Madrid to eat out!

As it says on the website, “it is the most delicious vegetarian buffet in Madrid”… check it out and decide for your Self one day 🙂
