Are you tired or bored of the usual club & pub scene in London?
You’re not alone 🙂
I seem to be passing out more links to events in London these days, for clients who just want an extra twist to their social nights out. And the good news is that there are many organisations and creative collectives that are bringing up nights out that combine creativity with a healthy night out.
Check out these spots and if you’re on Facebook/Twitter, don’t forgot to add them so you can keep up-to-date on events and last-minute changes!
Funk The Buddha [Website]
Just like my recent Mellow Music Mondays post with DJ Drez, I was on the look-out for a mix of yoga and music! I’ve seen many in the US but not so much in the UK. I came across this event and it looked interesting! 2 things I love – yoga and music 🙂
Kirtan London [Website]
A beautiful spot to sing your heart out in the company of other like-minded people… mantra meditation is a gorgeous way to uplift your soul, release and meet new people who enjoy holistic health!
Urubu’s Ecstatic Dance Revolution [Website]
Fancy a festival style energy, filled with live music and meditation? This is exactly what this space is all about – getting together, conscious movement, sharing amazing energy and coming out with a huge smile! (Click image below to view video)
Spoken Word Chill Pill [Website]
I am a fan of raw expression and poetry and the underground slam poetry scene has come a long way in London, even passing to mainstream media (think of ads like McDonald’s and other ads using poetry). Here is a night out that will bring together leading poets in the UK and from abroad, doing what they love best! Chill Pill is just one of the many creative collectives out there right now.
Street Feast [Website]
East London has changed SO much over the last 10 years and with the Olympics too. When I first moved to London in the late 90’s, I used to live where the Olympic village is today – who would have thought lol?! Since then, I’ve lived in various places in London but I return to East London all the time – It is such a creative artistic zone, with different things to keep you busy! Here is one of them that I would love to check out soon. Street Feast has recently been in Hackney Downs Studios and is now moving into other locations in London. Celebrating all things foodie, yum 🙂
These look like lovely events. I wonder if we have stuff like this in Boston??
I’m sure they have plenty of stuff – my friend went on her honeymoon passing through Boston and LOVES it. One day I need to check your city, sounds amazing 🙂
